Burkhard Bergius

Burkhard Bergius (born March 23, 1937 in Berlin ; † June 11, 2010 ) was a German architect , urban planner , architectural historian and university professor .

From 1956 to 1962 he studied at the Berlin School of Fine Arts . From 1963 to 1964 he worked in Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's office and from 1964 to 1965 at Paolo Soleri in Scottsdale (Arizona). Afterwards he was at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Berlin from 1966 to 1973, where he was also an assistant. Since 1976 he has been professor for urban design at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences .
