Burkhard Feilcke

Burkhard Feilcke (born August 22, 1969 ) is a German lawyer , a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since 2015 and a deputy assessor in the Federal Intelligence Service’s Independent Committee for the Control of Foreign-International Telecommunications Intelligence since 2017 .

After completing his legal training, Feilcke initially worked as a lawyer . In 2002 he entered the higher judicial service of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . There he was assigned to the Hamburg Regional Court , where he was appointed judge at the Regional Court in July 2004. From March 2006 to July 2008 he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant . Feilcke then came to the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court , where he was promoted to judge at the Higher Regional Court in December 2008. In November 2010 he moved to the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main , where he worked in both civil and criminal matters .

In November 2014, Feilcke was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and initially assigned to the VII Civil Senate . With effect from April 9, 2015, he moved to the 5th Criminal Senate . On March 8, 2017, at the suggestion of the President of the Federal Court of Justice, the Federal Cabinet appointed Feilcke as deputy assessor in the Federal Intelligence Service's international-international telecommunications investigation for six years.
