Burkhard I of Angelach-Angelach

Burkhard I von Angelach-Angelach († around 1525/26) was an imperial knight from the family of the Lords of Angelach . He was in the service of the Electoral Palatinate and in 1507 supported the Wormer Bishop Reinhard II von Rippur in a feud with the city ​​of Worms .

Burkhard I was the son of Wilhelm IV von Angelach-Angelach († 1458) and Ennel von Helmstatt . He was married to Margarete von Nippenburg . The son Wolf I. has been handed down to us.

Life

Burkhard I. enrolled at Heidelberg University in 1469 . In 1474 he received from the Counts of Eberstein as a fiefdom Waldangelloch and tithe rights in Gochsheim . In 1489 he received fiefs in Eichtersheim and Michelfeld . He did various business with the Odenheim monastery , including taking out a loan from the monastery .

In the Landshut War of Succession he fought on the side of the Electoral Palatinate in 1504 . Since his son Wolf I. was enfeoffed with Michelfeld in 1526, Burkhard I. must have died shortly before.
