Burkhardt Müller-Markmann

Burkhardt Müller-Markmann (born November 7, 1950 in Berlin ; † May 20, 2011 ) was a German economist. He was a professor in the Faculty of Business at Furtwangen University .

academic career

After studying economics, he did his doctorate at the University of Frankfurt am Main with a topic on demographic change. After working in Munich at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research and at the headquarters of BMW AG, he was appointed Professor of Economics and Business Simulation at Furtwangen University in 1993.

Teaching and Research

As a founding member of the Faculty of Business, he headed the International Business Administration course for several years. In his research projects he developed company simulations and expanded their application in business, science and administration. He was a member of the Association for Social Policy , the German Statistical Society and the Society for Insurance Science and Design, as well as a liaison professor of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation .
