The Burns Bluff is a rock cliff on the Rymill coast of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises south of the Naess glacier .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the cliff in 1976 after the geophysicist Frederick Michael Burns (* 1946), who worked for the British Antarctic Survey on Stonington Island from 1967 to 1969 .
