Burtevitz
Burtevitz is a district of the municipality of Lancken-Granitz in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on the island of Rügen .
location
Burtevitz consists of only a few houses and is located south of Lancken-Granitz. A little north of the village is Zarnekow , which is also listed as part of Burtevitz in various representations. A subordinate road leads through Burtevitz from Lancken-Granitz to Preetz, east of Burtevitz .
history
Burtevitz already belonged to the Putbus family in the Middle Ages . After it came to the von Zernin family , they sold Burtevitz to Johann von Wreen in 1330/33. For the year 1346 it is documented that the von Putbus family sold Bede and coin pennies from six hook hooves to the Bergen monastery on Rügen in Burtevitz . This position became domanial after the Reformation . In 1582, the Putbus family swapped the position back.
On July 1, 1950, Burtevitz came to the community of Seedorf . On January 1, 1962, it was reclassified to Lancken-Granitz.

In the district of Burtevitz there are several prehistoric graves, the large stone graves near Burtevitz .
