Burton Morris (* 1964 in Pittsburgh , USA ) is an American artist and painter of contemporary Pop Art .

With his art, Morris is in direct tradition with artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein . Like Warhol, he uses everyday objects to transform them into icons with his art . Examples of these items are coffee cups, martini glasses, popcorn, and taxis.

But it is also possible to compare his comic strip-like art with Lichtenstein's work. According to the painter, his work is also heavily influenced by the comics he consumed in his childhood.
