BusinessRun Cologne
The HRS BusinessRun Cologne is an annual company run in Cologne . The official event motto is “ Run, Fiere, Danze!” ( Cologne pronunciation for running, partying, dancing ). The running distance of 5.2 km leads through the Cologne city forest and ends with the finish in the Rheinenergiestadion . The after-run party will then take place. With 15,000 participants in 2013, the HRS BusinessRun Cologne is the largest company run in North Rhine-Westphalia and the third largest company run in Germany.
history
Launched in 2008, the HRS BusinessRun Cologne started with 2,500 participants. The start and finish were in the athletics stadium of the German Sport University Cologne . The Cologne-based hotel portal HRS has acted as the main sponsor and namesake from the very beginning .
After the growing number of participants, the HRS BusinessRun Cologne moved to the neighboring Rheinenergiestadion in 2010. In 2010, 6,500 runners started on the enlarged event site. The number of visitors to the AfterRun party also grew, so that Cologne's largest after-work event has since taken place on the business levels of the stadium. Another record number of participants was achieved in 2012 with 10,000 active participants. The BusinessRun Village was set up for the first time on the grounds of the stadium: Participating companies can rent company tents here and use them as a meeting point for their employees. The record for participants was broken in 2013 as well: 15,000 runners started on July 18, 2013. The number of company tents also doubled in the BusinessRun Village.
For the first time there were live acts in 2012 at the HRS BusinessRun Cologne. The band Kasalla played in the Rheinenergiestadion and supported the runners on the last meters to the finish. In addition, Brings played a live concert in the stadium after the run. In 2013, the Paveier appeared at the BusinessRun Village and played their biggest hits.
In 2016, the HRS BusinessRun Cologne was integrated into the B2RUN German company running championship .

route
The running route is between 5 and 5.5 km long and leads over paved paths through the city forest. The start is on Oskar-Rehfeldt-Weg between the stadium meadows in front of the RheinEnergieStadion and takes place in blocks in order to reduce the number of participants on the route. The finish is in the RheinEnergieStadion.
Running club
Throughout the year there is the opportunity to prepare for the HRS BusinessRun Cologne in a running meeting. There is a division into two performance groups, which are specifically accompanied by professional running coaches and complete different running routes.
