history

Participant development B2Run runs

In 2004, the Süddeutsche Verlag organized a Maxi Company Run ( Munich Company Run ) through the Olympic Park with around 2,500 runners in Munich for the first time . From this the B2Run Munich developed.

In 2009, the B2Run runs also took place across Germany for the first time in other major cities (Berlin, Hanover, Karlsruhe), where individual timekeeping and the finish in a stadium remained the trademark. When three more locations (Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Dortmund) were added in 2010, the series was expanded to become the German company running championship. In 2012, a total of 82,800 runners from around 4,000 companies, including 26 DAX companies, were registered at eight locations. In 2013 the B2RUN series was expanded to ten locations around Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main. A total of 101,000 runners were registered.

B2Run has had a mascot called Pit Fit since 2012, who cheers on runners at all locations and gives the brand a face.

In 2014 Bremen was added as the eleventh and in 2015 Gelsenkirchen as the twelfth location. In 2016, the Aachen, Dillingen / Saar, Freiburg, Kaiserslautern and Cologne locations were also added.
