The Butcher nunatak is a nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Ford Ranges, it rises 6 km southwest of Swarm Peak at the southern end of the Birchall Peaks .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the Nunatak in 1970 after Robert S. Butcher, a construction worker on Byrd Station in 1967.
