Butterfly ball

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast is a concept album based on the children's book of the same title.

It was originally intended as a solo project for Jon Lord , produced by Roger Glover , but Lord was too busy with Deep Purple . That's why Glover produced The Butterfly Ball in 1974/75 as a separate project. He used the contacts he had in the rock business and recruited many well-known artists. Each song was sung by someone else. The single Love is All , sung by Ronnie James Dio , became number one in the Netherlands.
