Debbie Byfield

Debbie Byfield (actually Debra Elizabeth Byfield, married Byfield-White; born June 5, 1954 ) is a former Jamaican sprinter .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she was disqualified with the Jamaican team in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1975 she was seventh over 400 m at the Pan American Games in Mexico City .

At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978 , she was sixth in the 4-by-400-meter relay and reached the semi-finals over 400 m.

In 1979 she won the Central America and Caribbean Championships over 400 m.

She married the American sprinter Willie White. Their daughter Kelli White was successful as a sprinter before their involvement in the BALCO doping affair was exposed.
