Byvågen ( Norwegian for city bay ) is a small side bay in the east of Lützow-Holm-Bucht on the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It lies between the headland of Skarvsnes and Byvågåsane .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped the bay based on aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
