Career

Cássio during training in Adelaide (2007)

After various positions in his native Brazil, Paraguay , Mexico and the USA , Cássio moved to Australia to Adelaide United in 2007 , as they had given away all their left-backs and therefore needed a new one.

Already in the first games he impressed with his appearances, so that at the end of the 2007/08 season he was voted the best player by the members of the club. After his contract was extended in October 2008 to 2010, he also fulfilled his reputation for dangerous goals, so he scored 4 goals in 16 games in the 2008/09 season, all of which were long shots.
