Cédric Paty (born July 25, 1981 in Paris , France ) is a French handball player . He is 1.94 m tall and weighs 93 kg.

Paty, who plays for Chambéry Savoie HB and plays for the French national team, is usually used in the right backcourt , but he can also play on the right winger.

Cédric Paty came to handball through his father, who ran the local handball school. In 2000 he made his professional debut for the second division club Cercle Dijon Bourgogne HB. After two years in Dijon, he moved on to ES Besançon, with which he was relegated in 2003; he then moved to HBC Villefranche en Beaujolais. There he rose in 2004 and played in the first French league for the first time in the 2004/05 season. In 2005 he was signed by the top club Chambéry Savoie HB. He ended his career after the 2015/16 season.

Cédric Paty has so far played 28 international matches for the French national team. Behind players like Nikola Karabatić , Daniel Narcisse or Jérôme Fernandez , however, he currently only plays second fiddle in the French backcourt. At the European Handball Championship in Norway in 2008 - at which he also made his international debut - he won bronze with France . He won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games .
