CC Tennissen (* May 12, 1960 in Krefeld as Claudia Kämper , married Ulm) is a German country , gospel , blues and rock singer who produces her tracks in both German and English . She lives in Thailand .

CC Tennissen was born in Krefeld as the daughter of the ballet master and actor Udo Kämper (known from the mini crime series private detective Harry Holl ) and Elisabeth Esser. At the age of three she began her classical music training at the music school in Krefeld, where she learned the flute , piano , rhythm and singing. In 1973 she joined the band Steamboat , which consisted of GIs and played successfully in NCO clubs for nine years .

In 1982 she moved to America, where she was able to gain experience in various musical genres over the years. In the mid-1990s she met the musician and producer Jerry Cole, with whom she was friends and who became her advisor. One of her favorite genres is gospel and so she joined the gospel choir of the First Baptist Church of North Hollywood in the late 1980s , where she was a soprano singer for nine years .

For private reasons she returned to Germany in 2002 and after a long musical break she began to devote herself to country music. Over the next few years, CC Tennissen could be found at numerous country festivals in Germany. In 2009 she caught the attention of singer and entertainer Peter Sebastian , who is also the producer of Toi Records, and together they produced the German version of the title Mississippi , which was originally sung by Toni Willé from the band Pussycat . This title reached number 10 and in the following month number 13 on the WDR 4 charts and can also be found on the WDR chart sampler Rhythmus der Nacht . It followed in country music style on the day Conny Kramer died , originally sung by Juliane Werding . The third single, Wer Liebe sucht , was released in the same year . Next came their first official album in 2009, Die Zeit ist reif , which was very successful and continued to be released over the next few years in various versions on various samplers and a best-of-C.-C.-Tennissen album. At the beginning of 2010 Peter Sebastian (Toi Records) and CC Tennissen parted ways.

Her husband Wolfgang Ulm has been running the in-house label 5apes Records since 2010 and signed CC Tennissen. Since then they have been writing and producing their own songs together. In 2014, Tennissen was nominated by Wo-TV for the European Golden Country Star and came fourth out of 224 suggestions and 62 country nominations. In 2015 CC Tennissen returned to their roots of country, rock, blues, southern rock and gospel music and plans to release a new album. In 2016 CC Tennissen received the Gold Award for their title "Hey Broken Heart", which was awarded the place "Song of the year 2016" in the category Schlager / Volksmusik.

CC Tennissen is nominated for World Music Artist Of The Year 2018 award at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony will take place on September 8, 2018 at the Celebrity Theater in Dollywood, Pigeon, Tennessee. [outdated]

Also this year 2019 CC Tennissen is nominated for the award as World Music Artist Of The Year 2019 at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, also with her new project "Vanity Witch Project Feat. Ascaneus - Regen Im Herz". This year's awards ceremony will take place again on September 21 at the Celebrity Theater in Dollywood, Pigeon, Tennessee. [outdated]

For some time now she has also been supporting some animal welfare organizations in Thailand that are fighting against the illegal dog meat trade.
