The CACEIS Bank SA, Germany Branch (formerly German Fimaseba Financial Markets Service Bank), the German subsidiary of CACEIS Bank SA, which a majority of the French Credit Agricole Group belongs.
It offers asset servicing for institutional and business customers. With agencies in Europe, North America and Asia, CACEIS offers a comprehensive range of fund administration services as well as custodian and custody services.
In 2007, CACEIS acquired the activities of HypoVereinsbank (HVB) in securities processing and custody, including its subsidiary at the time, Fimaseba Financial Markets Service Bank, which was subsequently renamed CACEIS Bank Germany.
Due to a change in the corporate structure of the CACEIS Group, CACEIS Bank Deutschland GmbH was merged with the French sister company CACEIS Bank SA based in Paris on January 1, 2017. Since then, the custodian business of CACEIS has been carried out by the German branch of CACEIS Bank, which is operationally identical to the previous CACEIS Bank Germany.
With this merger, according to 122 a Transformation Act, all existing contracts are automatically transferred from CACEIS Bank Deutschland GmbH to CACEIS Bank in accordance with the principle of universal succession.
As of December 31, 2018, CACEIS Bank held EUR 2,633 billion in assets, EUR 1,695 billion in fund units and EUR 1,058 billion as custodian bank.
