The 1995/96 season was the 61st season of the Polish Ice Hockey League , the highest Polish ice hockey division . Champion was for the 16th time in the club's history Podhale Nowy Targ .

mode

First, the twelve teams spent a common main round. The six best-placed teams qualified for the final round, whose participants all qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played off. The remaining six teams played a qualifying round, the first two of which also qualified for the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
