The 1926-27 season was the first regular season of the Canadian-American Hockey League (CAHL). The Springfield Indians became champions .

In the regular season, the five teams played 32 games each. The top three teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first place winner in the first round one bye had. The goals scored were decisive for progressing through the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
