The 1929/30 season was the fourth regular season of the Canadian-American Hockey League (CAHL). The Providence Reds became champions .

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, the five teams played between 39 and 40 games. The top three teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first place winner in the first round one bye had. For progress in the semifinals, the goals scored were decisive, in the finals in the best-of-five series, the number of wins. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
