The 1929-30 season was the fourth regular season for the American Hockey Association (AHA). The Kansas City Pla-Mors became champions .

In the regular season, the six teams played 48 games each. The top three teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first place in the regular season qualified directly for the final. The playoff semifinals were played in a best-of-three series, the total goal difference was decisive for the final series. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
