The 1941–42 season was the 16th and final regular season of the American Hockey Association (AHA). The champions became the Omaha Knights .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season the league was divided into two groups (North and South). The eight teams played 50 games each. The top three teams in each division qualified for the playoffs. The quarter-finals were played in best-of-three mode, the semi-finals and the final in best-of-five mode. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
