The Dallas Texans were an American ice hockey team from Dallas , Texas . The team played between 1941 and 1949 in the American Hockey Association and the United States Hockey League .
history
The franchise was founded in 1941 as the American Hockey Association's expansion team . In the 1941/42 season , their premiere season, the team finished fourth in the South Division in the regular season and missed participation in the playoffs. After the season, the AHA was dissolved and the Texans temporarily stopped the game. When the United States Hockey League was founded in 1945 as a successor to the AHA, the Texans were also reactivated and played there until the team was finally disbanded following the 1948/49 season .
