The Winnipeg Maroons were a Canadian ice hockey team based in Winnipeg , Manitoba . The team played in the American Hockey Association from 1926 to 1928 .
history
The franchise was founded in 1925 as a member of the one-time amateur league Central Hockey League. From 1926 to 1928, the Winnipeg Maroons played as the only Canadian team in the American Professional Hockey Association . In the 1926/27 season they reached the first playoff round, in the following season they missed the playoff qualification and the team stopped playing.
