The 1928-29 season was the third regular season of the Canadian-American Hockey League (CAHL). The champions became the Boston Tigers .

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, the six teams played 40 games each. The top three teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first place winner in the first round one bye had. The goals scored were decisive for progressing through the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
