The 1928-29 season was the third and final regular season of the Canadian Professional Hockey League (CPHL). The Windsor Bulldogs became champions .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Stratford Nationals stopped playing.
- The Toronto Ravinas stopped playing.
- The Kitchener Millionaires were relocated to Toronto , Ontario and changed their name to Toronto Millionaires .
- The Windsor Hornets changed their name to Windsor Bulldogs.
- The Buffalo Bisons were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Kitchener Flying Dutchmen were added to the league as an expansion team.

In the regular season, the eight teams played 42 games each. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
