Friedrich Rödinger

Johann Friedrich Rödinger (born February 11, 1800 in Lehrensteinsfeld ; † June 20, 1868 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer , journalist and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Rödinger first worked as a clerk in Spiegelberg and earned his Abitur through self-study. In 1819 he joined the Germania Tübingen fraternity . From 1820 to 1824 he studied law in Tübingen and Jena , in Jena he also became a member of the fraternity . He was a member of the revolutionary youth union , among other things for this reason he was sentenced in 1825 for "fraternity activities" to three years imprisonment, which he served from 1825 to 1826 on the Hohenasperg .

In 1826 he became a judge in Stuttgart, and later legal counsel .

Together with Gottlob Tafel , he was the publisher and editor of the political newspaper “Der Hochwächter” (later “The Observer”) from 1830. Like Tafel, he was elected to the Württemberg Land estates , but the election was not recognized because of his criminal record. In 1833 he was sued for press offenses, he was in custody, and was finally acquitted.

In the revolutionary year of 1848 he was chairman of the Republican Club in Stuttgart and speaker at the people's assembly in Göppingen. From 1848 he also founded several people's associations in Württemberg. In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament .

1848–1849 Rödinger was Vice President of the Württemberg Chamber of Deputies and from 1849–1850 Vice President of the First to Third State Assemblies of the Kingdom of Württemberg . In 1848 he was a member of the Paulskirchenparlament in the parliamentary groups Deutscher Hof and Märzverein as a member of the constituency Jagstkreis ( Öhringen ). He was a member of the priority committee . 1851–1868 he was a member of the Württemberg Chamber of Deputies . In 1851 he was sued for disobedience to the government and later acquitted.

From 1853 he worked as a scientific journalist in Stuttgart.
