history

The company has its roots in Stock and Commodity Services SA, which was founded in 1975 and specializes in securities trading . From this, the SCS Compagnie Financière SA emerged in 1981 , which concentrated on asset management. This in turn was transformed from an asset management company into the Bank Banque SCS Alliance SA in 1991 .

In 1995 a branch was opened in Nassau, Bahamas. In 2002 SCS took over PG Partner Bank AG and thereby acquired a branch in Zurich. In 2003 a branch was opened in Lausanne.

The majority of the bank is owned by SCS Alliance Holding SA , of which the then Chairman of the Board of Directors, Heinz Zimmer, held 41.59 percent and the CEO, Joseph Benhamou, 19.68 percent on December 31, 2008. In 2009 the Benhamou family took over the majority of shares in SCS Alliance Holding SA. The bank was renamed CBH Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique SA.

In 2014, after the collapse of the Espírito Santo Financial Group, CBH took over a large part of the activities of the Swiss subsidiary Banque Privée Espírito Santo, which has since been in liquidation.
