CCL16 ( English CC chemokine ligand 16 ) is a cytokine belonging to the family of the C-C chemokines .
properties
CCL8 is involved in inflammatory processes. It is chemotactic for and activates various immune cells , including monocytes and T lymphocytes . CCL16 is produced in the liver , thymus and spleen . CCL16 is induced in monocytes by IL-10 , IFN-γ and bacterial lipopolysaccharides . CCL16 binds to CCR1 , CCR2 , CCR5 and CCR8 .
