CS Blanc-Mesnil
The Club Sportif du Blanc-Mesnil is a former football club from the city of Le Blanc-Mesnil , northeast of Paris in the Île-de-France . The club has achieved national importance exclusively through its female soccer players , who at times competed at the highest national league level.
history
Neither the founding date of the association nor that of the women's department can be found in the sources used. His club colors were black and white, the league eleven competed in the local Stade Jean-Bouin .
In 1997 the Club Sportif merged with two local clubs, the Étoile Sportive Blanc-Mesnil and the Jeunesse Pasteur ; this merger club is called Blanc-Mesnil Sport Football .
League affiliation and achievements
While the men of the club never got beyond the participation in a lower regional league, the women's soccer team of the CSBM was able to qualify for the 1990/91 season for the France-wide championship finals, which at that time was still in the form of a final tournament with a mixture of group and K . o. games was played. They finished seventh in their preliminary group. A year later they finished the season in sixth place in their group. This was not enough to be included in the first women's league (Championnat National 1 A) introduced in 1992 . For this they then qualified for the 1993/94 season , only to return to the second division after the end of this season as the penultimate of the final table. The only way they could avoid being placed in twelfth and last place was that their competitors from OS Monaco were deducted three of their points on the pitch by the association .
The successor club Blanc Mesnil Sport Football was represented again from 2006 to 2008 in Division 2, but in 2011 even rose to a regional group of the fourth-highest level. In the cup competition for the Challenge de France féminin , which was only introduced in 2001, it made it to the national main round in 2005/06 and 2006/07; there the BMSF was eliminated after only one game.
