The Cabo Altamirano is a chapter on the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is on the shores of Hughes Bay .
Scientists from an Argentine Antarctic expedition carried out from 1973 to 1974 carried out investigations of the cape. Since 1978 Ricardo Altamirano has been named after him, who went missing on October 4, 1949 in the accident of the mine sweeper Fournier in the Strait of Magellan .
