The Cabo Del Pozo ( Spanish , in Argentina Cabo Benítez ) is a cape in the center of the south coast of the Gándara Island in the group of Duroch Islands northwest of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Chilean scientists named it after José del Pozo, Hospital Corpsman at Arturo Prat Station in the Antarctic winter of 1949, who was involved in a hydrographic research trip to Robert Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands that year . The namesake of the Argentine name has not been passed down.
