Cadbury Castle (Devon)

Cadbury Castle is an Outbound Wallburg from the Iron Age near the village of Bickleigh in the English county of Devon . It was in the English Civil War of parliamentarist forces under Thomas Fairfax used for storage, as this Bickleigh Castle besieged.

The site is about 250 meters above sea level over a series of valleys all the way to the Exe Valley . On a clear day you can see from there as far as Cranmore Castle , Huntsham Castle , Dolbury Castle , Stoke Hill , Raddon Top , Posbury Hill Fort and Cotley Castle . The site is accessible via a public footpath signposted from the village of Cadbury .
