Cade McNown (* 12. January 1977 in Portland , Oregon ) is a former American American football poker players at the position of quarterback .
He studied and played at the University of California and was selected in 1999 as the twelfth first-round player in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears . After McNown played for the Bears from 1999 to 2000, he was handed over to the Miami Dolphins in 2001 against draft picks . For the 2002 season he finally moved to the San Francisco 49ers , who did not renew his one-year contract at the end of the season. In the Dolphins and 49ers, however, he did not play as a starting quarterback , but only as a reserve player.
