Caecilia Metella (wife of Servilius Vatia)

Caecilia Metella was a member of the ancient Roman plebeian family of the Caecilians and the daughter of the consul from 143 BC. BC, Quintus Caecilius Metellus Macedonicus .

Four of her brothers also reached the consulate: Quintus Caecilius Metellus Balearicus 123 BC. BC, Lucius Caecilius Metellus Diadematus 117 BC BC, Marcus Caecilius Metellus 115 BC BC and Gaius Caecilius Metellus Caprarius 113 BC Furthermore, Caecilia Metella had a sister of the same name who lived with the consul from 111 BC. BC, Publius Cornelius Scipio Nasica Serapio , was married. Caecilia Metella married Gaius Servilius Vatia and gave birth to him around 134 BC. A son, Publius Servilius Vatia Isauricus , who lived in 79 BC. Officiated as consul.
