The Caecilia tentaculata ( Caecilia tentaculata ) is a soil-dwelling Blindwühle (Gymnophiona) from the family of caeciliidae (Caecilidae).
features
The 45 to 63 centimeter long wormwheel has a thick, flat body, the color of which is gray to black on top and light brown on the bottom. The mouth is wedge-shaped. It is tailless and the rear end is covered with a hard shield. 100 to 300 furrows cover the body. The tentacles are smaller than other species.
Occurrence
This species lives in the tropics in southern Central America and in northern South America buried in loose soil.
