Café-Confectionery Fürst
The Café-Konditorei Fürst is a café with its own confectionery in the old town of Salzburg . It became famous through the creation of the Mozartkugel by Paul Fürst .
history
The pastry chef Paul Fürst had learned his craft in Vienna , Budapest , Nice and Paris . In Salzburg there was a defeat of the Schider distillery and a jewelry shop in the rooms of the later confectionery. Here, Fürst opened his "confectionery" in November 1884 with a bakery and a shop. A large number of confectionery products were offered when the business was founded. In 1890 he created the so-called Mozartkugel (originally Mozart confectionery). At the International Trade Fair in Paris in 1905, it was awarded a gold medal.
In recent years, a wide range of other sweets has been added to this product, the names of which are related to Salzburg celebrities (including " Doppler Kon (E) fekt", " Paris Lodron Trüffel ", " Wolf Dietrich Block" or " Bach -Würfel" “, The latter was, however, devised in a wine-blissful mood by the members of the Salzburg Bach Society, but then turned into a sweet by the confectioner Fürst).
This new business idea of producing confectionery products with a Salzburg connection has so hit the locals and especially the tourists that more shops for Fürst's products and a second Café Fürst have been opened at Mirabellplatz 5 in Salzburg. Even today, the Fürst family still produces the "Original Mozart Balls" using the original recipe using a manual process.
location
The parent company is located in the old town of Salzburg at Brodgasse 13 near the Old Market, with a view of the Café Tomaselli .
