Cai Burchard Graf von Ahlefeldt (* 23 August 1671 , † 21 December 1718 ) was the lord of the noble estates of Bystorp , Eschelsmark , Ornum and Stubbe.

Life

Cai Burchard von Ahlefeldt was the son of the royal Danish chamberlain and district administrator Burchard von Ahlefeldt (1634–1695) and his wife Dorothea nee. von Rumohr (1647–1686), daughter of Hans von Rumohr (1606–1673), lord of Borghorst and Stubbe. His wife was Charlotte Amalie von Holstein (1681–1752), daughter of Adam Christopher von Holstein (1631–1690). From this marriage three children were born, among whom was the Royal Danish Lieutenant General and Chamberlain Conrad von Ahlefeldt . Cai Burchard von Ahlefeldt was captain of the first Jutland cavalry regiment in Hungary from 1692 and was appointed major in 1694 , followed in 1698 by appointment as lieutenant colonel and in 1700 as colonel . In 1704 he retired from military service and in 1705 became chamberlain. In 1713, von Ahlefeldt was deputy chairman of the state parliament and bailiff in the counties of Bordesholm, Neumünster and Kiel. On October 13 of the same year he was made a Knight of the Dannebrog Order . From 1716, von Ahlefeldt was a member of the state parliament until he died in December 1718.
