Cai Zhizhong
Cai Zhizhong ( Chinese 蔡志忠 , Pinyin Cài Zhìzhōng , W.-G. Ts'ai Chih-chung ; born February 2, 1948 in Taiwan ) is a Taiwanese cartoonist and comic artist. His interpretations of classical texts of Chinese philosophy , including those of Laotse , Liezi and Zhuangzi , have sold millions of copies worldwide. In German only translations of the English translations have been published so far (by the Verlag für Angewandte Kinesiologie, where his name was transcribed as Tsai Tschih Tschung ).
In 1999 he was awarded the Dutch Prince Claus Prize for his work .
In addition to his work as a draftsman, Tsai works as an entrepreneur in the field of television and animation.
