Prince Claus Prize

The Prince Claus Prize ( Dutch Prins Claus Prijs ) has been awarded annually since 1997 by the Dutch “Prince Claus Foundation for Culture and Development”. It honors people and organizations who have distinguished themselves in contemporary culture in a special way.

It is named after Prince Claus , the husband of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands . A main prize worth 100,000 euros will be awarded. In addition, up to 10 further laureates will receive prizes with prize money of 25,000 euros each.
