Aloísio Jorge Pena Vitral
Aloísio Jorge Pena Vitral (born April 23, 1955 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Sete Lagoas .
Life
Aloísio Jorge Pena Vitral was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte on January 18, 1986 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 11, 2006 auxiliary bishop in Belo Horizonte and titular bishop of Thubursicum-Bure . The Archbishop of Belo Horizonte, Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo , donated him episcopal ordination on March 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Décio Sossai Zandonade SDB , Bishop of Colatina , and Sebastião Roque Rabelo Mendes , Auxiliary Bishop emeritus in Curitiba . As a motto he chose Revestido de profunda Misericórdia .
On November 25, 2009 he was appointed Bishop of Teófilo Otoni . Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Sete Lagoas on September 20, 2017. The inauguration took place on December 16 of the same year.
On June 10, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Aloísio Jorge Pena Vitral's resignation.
