Cildo Meireles (born February 9, 1948 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian conceptual artist .

Cildo Meireles exhibited his work at the New York Museum of Modern Art and in 1992 and 2002 ( Disappearing Element / Disappeared Element ) at the Kassel documenta 11 . He was also represented with works at the 51st Biennale (June 12th - November 6th, 2005).
