The Caladesi Island State Park is one of the Florida State Parks and is located on the Gulf Island Caladesi Island north of Clearwater Beach. Caladesi Island is part of the Dunedin Municipality . The state of Florida bought the island in 1967 to designate it as a state park.

Visitors can reach Caladesi Island via a small passenger ferry from the neighboring island of Honeymoon Island or with their own boat. There is no road connection. In 2008, Caladesi Island State Park was named the best beach in the United States. Already in 2006 and 2007, the beach at Caladesi Island State Park in the Dr. Beach publish rankings each ranked # 2 of America's best beaches. In addition to the beach, the Caladesi Island State Park is a popular destination for those seeking relaxation, who will find a five-kilometer nature trail, picnic areas, a playground and a marina with 108 berths.
