biography

Lindh started taking part in FIS races in January 2006 at the age of 15 . The first victory at this stage came two years later. In February 2008 he became Swedish Slalom Junior Champion. He made his debut in the European Cup in December 2008. On February 1, 2009, the first race in the World Cup followed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he was eliminated in the first round of the slalom. Due to an injury, he was only able to tackle the following season in February 2010. At the Winter Universiade 2011 in Erzurum , he won the silver medal in the Super-G and the bronze medal in the slalom. Two more World Cup appearances in 2011 remained unsuccessful.

In the course of the 2011/12 season, Lindh drove into the top ten for the first time in a European Cup race. On November 21, 2012, he took the first podium at the Levi Slalom , followed by two more. On February 6, 2013, he fell on the finish slope of the European Cup giant slalom in Les Menuires and suffered a smooth fracture of his right leg and a torn ligament . During the following operation, a nerve was severed so that his right foot is permanently affected. In between, Lindh thought of quitting skiing altogether. Lindh had to cancel the entire 2013/14 season.

Calle Lindh made his successful comeback on October 26th, 2014 in the World Cup giant slalom in Sölden , where he surprisingly finished 14th and thus won his first World Cup points. On December 14th, he achieved another significant increase when he advanced to 6th place in the slalom of Åre with the high start number 62. He finished the Alpine Ski World Cup 2014/15 in 20th place in the slalom ranking.

In June 2015, Calle Lindh announced the end of his active sports career and justified this step with a lack of motivation.
