Calot triangle
The Calot triangle or Trigonum cystohepaticum is an anatomical orientation mark in the area of the liver . It is named after the French doctor Jean-François Calot .
It is formed or limited by:
- below: cystic duct
- medial: common hepatic duct
- above: posterior lower edge of the liver
The orientation mark at which it is sought cholecystectomy for the Suppression of the cystic duct and the in cystohepatic triangle normally into two branches, the deep branch et superficial-splitting cystic artery . This division can be very varied, which is why careful preparation is necessary.
