Calum Gittins (born July 16, 1986 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand film actor .
He is the son of actor Paul Gittins (best known for his role as Michael McKenna on the New Zealand television series Shortland Street , in which he starred from 1992 to 1999) and Oscar winner Philippa Boyens . Calum Gittins has a younger sister named Phoebe.
In Peter Jackson's feature film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers , Gittins played Haleth, the son of a knight from Rohan .
