Camille Bloch

Camille Bloch (* 28. April 1891 in Bern , † 8. December 1970 in) was a Swiss chocolate - producer .

After completing a commercial apprenticeship at Chocolat Tobler AG , he initially worked as a sales representative and from 1926 as an independent chocolate trader . In 1929 he founded the chocolate factory Chocolats Camille Bloch in Bern , which moved to Courtelary in the Bernese Jura in 1935 and from 1942 celebrated great success with a chocolate bar called Ragusa .

Camille Bloch is buried in the Jewish cemetery in Bern .

Camille Bloch is the father of Rolf Bloch , the former president of the Swiss Association of Israelites .
