Camille Jones (born October 19, 1974 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish pop and dancehouse singer.
Career
Camille discovered his passion for music early on and took over the background vocals for several bands. In 2000 she released her debut album Camille Jones in Denmark, from which the singles Daddy Would Say and Nothing Comes from Nothing were released. In 2004 Jones released her second album Surrender . She recorded a music video for the single The Creeps , which was nominated at the Danish Music Awards in 2005.
Camille Jones had the greatest success with a remix version of The Creeps 2007, produced by Fedde Le Grand . With the remix and a newly filmed video, she gained notoriety, especially in the dance scene. The single came to number 1 on the UK dance chart and number 7 on the UK singles chart in spring 2007. In Germany she reached number 17 on the German dance charts. On July 25th, 2008 The Creeps was released as a CD single on the German market, which only reached number 82 in the German single charts.
In 2008, Camille released her third studio album, Barking up the Wrong Tree . Unlike the previous works, the album is strongly influenced by house and electronica . The singles Difficult Guys and I Am (What You Want Me to Be) were radio hits in Denmark. In December 2008, a music video for I Am (What You Want Me to Be) was released.
In late December 2008 and early January 2009, Camille Jones toured Australia with Ida Corr and Fedde Le Grand .
On January 7th, 2011 Jones went straight to number 1 in the Danish single charts with KATO, Ida Corr and Johnson with the Danish single "Sjus".
