Camilo Romero (born March 30, 1970 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Life

Romero began his professional career in the 1990/91 season at his hometown club Chivas Guadalajara , where he was under contract four times in several stages. It was also the only club where the frequently changing player was committed for more than a year in a row. Between 1994 and 1998 he was under contract with Chivas for four years and experienced his greatest successes during these years. With Guadalajara he won the Mexican championship in the summer of 1997 and he also completed a total of 14 missions for the Mexican national team between 1995 and 1997 . He played his first international game on February 1, 1995 in a 1-0 win over Uruguay, his last international game was a zero number in the 1998 World Cup qualifying against Jamaica on November 16, 1997. Romero played in the 1997 Copa America games in all six games of the Mexicans who finished the tournament in third place with.
