Camilo Sesto (born September 16, 1946 in Alcoy as Camilo Blanes Cortés ; † September 8, 2019 ) was a Spanish singer , actor , music producer and composer of romantic Spanish ballads , pop and rock .

His parents were Eliseo Blanes and Joaquina Cortés (deceased). Camilo Sesto's mother tongues were Valencian and Spanish . He also studied English in Los Angeles . His first steps as a singer in the choir took place in his school in Alcoy. He had his first big hit with the song and the album of the same name Algo de mí in 1971.

Despite his great creative power, he was only able to land at number 52 in the German single charts with the title Mi Amor together with Audrey Landers in 1985.

At the age of 72, Camilo Sesto succumbed to complications from a kidney disease from which he suffered as a result of his long-standing alcohol addiction.
